EP 75: Lorraine D’Alessio

“There’s more to say about women than victimization. What about empowerment? What about how we’re changing the world?”

Lorraine D’Alessio is a US attorney and the Founder and CEO of D’Alessio Law Group in Los Angeles, California. We have never been so inspired in such a short period of time. We learned so much during this conversation with Lorraine and we can’t wait for you to hear it.

Lorraine and her company has been recognized by the Enterprising Women of America for being the most female-lead law firm. She was recently named a 2016 Century City Bar Association Lawyer of the Year and Leader of Law for International Law by the Los Angeles Business Journal. Seriously.

Before Lorraine was this amazing CEO and music immigration lawyer, she was an International Ford model so naturally we asked her what lessons she’s taken from that career into this one. We chat about what drew her to law, the importance of being an advocate for people and how the world of law can benefit from investing in more women. We get goosebumps hearing about what the energy is like in a room with a group of diverse women working together to run a multi-million dollar company. We also talk about her work with Artists for Change, an organization that tackles the ever-growing and increasing problem of human trafficking with a particular focus on human trafficking in girls. On the #metoo movement Lorraine says, “There’s more to say about women than victimization. What about empowerment? What about how we’re changing the world?”

We trust that you will learn so much in this interview and find some realistic ways to make a positive change. Thank you, Lorraine for being such a fearless leader and we cannot wait to come and visit you in LA!
